Topic: Triforce (arcade system board)

Arcade system board - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Early arcade system boards incorporated the game directly into the system board, which saved on manufacturing costs (due to the common components) but required arcade game owners to buy an entire system board for each new game.
An arcade system board is a standardized printed circuit board or group of printed circuit boards that are used as the basis for multiple arcade games with very similar hardware requirements.
Later arcade system boards, including SNK's Neo-Geo, Capcom's CPS-2, and Sega's NAOMI, separated the system board from the game itself, akin to a home video game console and cartridge.

I think what really killed the the Arcades was the lack of diversity (almost every Arcade game that came out during the 90s was either a fighting game, a racing game, or a shooting game).
But right now, I was trying to figure out something, when nintendo left the arcade, they did a good job of leaving a void there in their place because unless there was a 2-player game like streetfighter, you'd pretty much be on your own.

Sega - The real meaning from Timesharetalk wikipedia
It was the first mainstream handheld system to be released with a color screen, something their main competitor, Nintendo, wouldn't do for its Game Boy line until the Game Boy Color debuted in 1998.
The handheld system could be rented on Japan Airlines with a choice between four games to play, one being Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sega was attempting to "lock out" game companies from making Genesis games unless they paid Sega a fee (ostensibly to maintain a consistent level of quality of games for their system.) Their strategy was to make the hardware reject any cartridge that did not include a Sega trademark.
