Star Fox Adventures is a Nintendo GameCube game in the Star Fox series released on September 23, 2002 in North America, September 27, 2002 in Japan, and September 30, 2002 in Europe.
Star Fox Adventures was originally planned for the Nintendo 64, as Dinosaur Planet, a game unrelated to the Star Fox series.
Since its release, Star Fox Adventures has been designated a Player's Choice title by Nintendo, recognizing it as a game that has sold many copies and is available at a reduced retail price.

But then, this game wasn't supposed to be a Star Fox game originally anyway.
It was pretty intriguing when Nintendo announced that the game was going to be put in the Star Fox universe and released for the next-gen system Ga mecube.
It was anticipated by many gamers, especially those who were fans of Rare's other action/adventure type games such as Banjo Kazooie, Jet Force Jemini, Donkey Kong 64 and others in it's long history of making games for Nintendo.

I think Starfox adventures wasn't a very good game though and was a rough start for the star fox series for me so i'll hopefully pick up the star fox series when the next game comes out.

During the sequence, note that Fox has only 3 life points the entire time and has only a small staff magic meter.
