Jumpman was also the original name for the Nintendo character Mario in his first game Donkey Kong.
Jumpman can climb up and down ladders, and of course jump, and there are two kinds of rope each allowing one direction of climbing.
The game contains most levels from Jumpman and Jumpman Junior, and a number of new levels; however, none of the new levels contain any unique elements and thus are somewhat out of atmosphere.

Jumpman and Pharaoh’s Curse are the most straightforward; once the player masters the art of jumping, climbing, and (in one case) shooting, the rest of the game consists of mastering individual levels.
Jumpman and especially Pharaoh's Curse are two games that I still play today, and are two reasons I still keep my Atari XEGS in service.
