 GIPF
GIPF is a strategic game for two players based on a classic concept: in turns, players introduce one piece into play until achieving four-in-a-row.
GIPF is a pure and challenging game that combines classic systems with completely new elements.

 GIPF Revisited
The GIPF pieces are very powerful - in the basic game, players lose most of their influence on the board when they make a line.
At this stage, the players put the game of GIPF to one side, and play the game to which the potential relates.
Firstly, when a player removes a line of pieces, they are not obliged to remove any GIPF pieces in the line, and secondly, when a player loses their last GIPF piece, they lose the game.

 ZERTZ
GIPF is a very deep abstract game where players slide pieces onto the board, attempting to make lines of 4 and capture opponents' pieces.
The GIPF project logo is very much a mark of originality and quality in my eyes, though that same originality means that different games in the project may well appeal to different audiences.
This move can either be played automatically, or tied to another game, so a player wishing to make a special move must win the other game before completing his move in GIPF.

 BGG Thread: User Review
As in the standard rules, if all of a player's GIPF pieces are captured, that player loses.
That is, if you want to use DVONN potential at some point during a game of GIPF, you have play and win a game of DVONN to actually use it.
The maximum number of potentials you can use in a GIPF game is 15.

This is a series of interconnected games which allows players to resolve a situation in one game by playing a completely different game.
If this project intrigues you it is worth your while to pick up all three games in the series.
So depending on your skill at using a certain type of piece, you play Gipf so as to to direct the game to the connected game which you are most adept at.

These potentials can be played into a game of Gipf, and when activated, allow a specific action native to the game from where it came.
All of the games can be played seperately, however, they can also all be tied into Gipf.
Furthur adding tension: Before a game of Gipf is started, the players agree on the number of potentials allowed, as well as the number of challenges allowed.

This is true, but my guess is that most aficionados of this series play at least several of the games, and their knowledge of multiple games enhances their enjoyment of the individual games.
The Gipf Project is a twenty-first century approach to abstract games, deriving the best of traditional games of alignment, capture, territory, and reversals, and delivering them in original and challenging ways, reflecting an ecological, emergent systems worldview.
I conceive the Gipf Project as a whole, with each of the games serving as centers.

Refreshingly, it introduces some subtly insidious notions, and, more importantly, the intent for this game to be integrated with others in the GIPF Project.
