Final Fight: Streetwise - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Somehow, the only good thing about the game is the access to the original Final Fight and the fighting system in Streetwise.
The reviewer explained that the game has many problems such as the A.I., same repeating mini-games, the camera and a bad potrayal of an urban life.
Gamespot gave it a 3.3/10, saying that the only good thing about the game is some character facial animations and featuring the character, Mike Haggar.

 GameSpy: Final Fight: Streetwise Review
Final Fight: Streetwise's character models are very basic, and the entire game has a very drab feel to it.
The original Final Fight game is unlockable, but it is advised to instead play this on one of the much better Capcom Classics Collections, where it would be bundled with other worthwhile experiences.
Final Fight: Streetwise, on the other hand, is perhaps the best argument one could make against remaking arcade classics.

 Final Fight One - GameCritics.com
Final Fights time had passed, and it seemed destined to be little more than another footnote in the encyclopedia of gaming history.
As time passed, Final Fight was slowly pushed aside, first by the 2D brawlers like Street Fighter and then by even more advanced fighting games.
Back in the day, Final Fight was easily one of my favorite arcade games.

First Impressions - Final Fight: Streetwise /// Eurogamer
The old Final Fights involved marching from left to right, moving into and out of the screen a bit and fighting streams of enemies in fairly simplistic fashion using weapon pick-ups and basic punch and kick combos.
To be fair, Final Fight: Streetwise is in no way bad - it looks fairly nice, plays nicely and is clearly capable of adapting the classic style to three dimensions with a bit of common sense.
Final Fight: Streetwise certainly comes along at an odd time, and it's pretty odd all round really.

Final Fight: Streetwise E3 2005 Preshow First Look - Xbox News at GameSpot
The fighting and overall gameplay will be deeper this time around, as you'll need to complete storyline missions and side missions, be able to interact with non-player characters, as well as gain new fighting skills and weapons as you earn respect throughout the course of the game.
As mentioned, the fighting system in the game offers combos and supercombo moves when in hand-to-hand mode, but as in the original Final Fight games, Streetwise will also include limited use of weapons.
This Final Fight game has a very dirty mouth.

If he's not one of the toughest bosses in Final Fight then I don't know who is. He constantly jumps around and drops grenades all over the place.
Side scrollers are often criticised for being repetitive but this game had loads of cool enemies that kept the game interesting.

 IGN Boards - Final Fight
Final Fight is best played with two players, and Capcom gimped the SNES version for some reason by making it one player only.
I'm sure that a 2-player original Final Fight game would have been possible on the Super NES, but not without taking its toll on another aspect of the game, in comparison to the arcade version; perhaps they would have had to reduce the number of sprites that could be on the screen at once.
In fact, so do Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3, so it definitely wasn't a technical limitation but either an unfamiliarity with the technology or just an odd call to leave it out for reasons unknown.

nintendojo ~ a site to see
Certainly a step up on the visual side of things, the audio inherent to Final Fight is nothing to get excited over, remaining in a state of "passable" even when played off of Nintendo’s Game Boy Player.
The dull and monotonous sounds of Final Fight One have lowered the bar many a notch, as your own characters make the same sounds as all your enemies when they die or jump kick.
I must say, it was a bit of a relief to find all of Haggar’s moves fully intact, along with a similar set of moves for the other two poster boys available for play.

Your character is equipped with incredible range of attacks from hand-to-hand combat (that involves nose-shattering punches and excruciating knees to the groin) to using weapons (that include pool cues, 2x4s, steels pipes, knives, grenades, shotguns, and more).
It looks as though Final Fight Streetwise is shaping up to be another good action-packed 3D brawler from Capcom.

Has anyone ever played Might Final Fight on the NES (a beat-em-up like its brethren, but with cutesy, super-deformed characters) or Final Fight EX for the Saturn (a 3D fighter featuring characters from the Final Fight series).
Aside from the original fighters, Haggar, Guy and Cody (which have since appeared in a few Capcom fighting games), the new characters in the following games were also a bit lacking in the character design department, and, quite simply, boring.

Billy, as his Burning Fight counterpart, is stronger than the other player, but has no such selection of 'strong-man' moves.

Well, since the actual game and players look sue-ably close to Final Fight, the folks at SNK decided to change up the story a bit.

GameSpy.com - Reviews: Final Fight One (GBA)
The problem with a lot of fighting games is that they often utilize a very complex combination of buttons to make those over-the-top moves, but in this case the game is delightfully, almost addictively, easy to master.
Somehow Guy is caught up in all this, but the point is that you get to take to the streets and pretty much fight it out with numerous thugs, hired goons, and the eventual bosses all with the expected button mashing that this style of game usually entails.
Don't get us wrong, everyone loves to play video games on the biggest and brightest TVs, but if one thing is clear with the Game Boy Advance, it's that its small size can really gives new life to games.

 IGN: Final Fight: Streetwise Review
The latest release of Final Fight attempts to dress up its action core with absurd and occasionally infuriating mini-games, an inane storyline and an oppressively small game area.
Needless to say, this makes fighting a hassle.
Building on that criticism, some of the sequences that add extra gameplay devices beyond the actual fighting totally don't work.

Eventually, though, interest waned after the release of the lackluster fighting game Final Fight Revenge for the Saturn.
Granted, something still feels a bit off, holding the game from the kind of greatness that the series is usually known for, but it's been away for a while, and it's still a long ways off from its November release date, so maybe time will be kind to it.
