I think the only way to reach the pink Bob - Omb is to go in with the water at its highest.
This is one of only a three levels (including Bob - Omb Battlefield and Big Boo's Haunt), where you can't drown, be burned alive or go tumbling helplessly down a bottomless pit.
To get it, you must get at least three of the blue coins and most of them are next to the pink Bob Ñ Omb.

However the best thing in multiplayer mode is bob-omb blast which is classic multiplayer gaming.
This makes for a very frantic experience but not quite as insane as BOB-OMB Blast which as the name suggests you have to use the death match arena's in which to throw bob-omb's at each other.
The single player is fun and the multiplayer is a blast.

Bob-omb blast seems like it could be the most addictive of the two new games.
Every time an opponent is caught in a blast, you'll earn a star, and if you earn five stars, you win.
Shine thief is essentially a game of keep-away that requires you to hold on to a shine from Super Mario Sunshine for a set amount of time.

All in all, MK: DD is an absolute blast to play, weather it be one player or four, you'll find yourself and friends coming back to this game for many years in the future.
While the single player is not as good as the multiplayer, you will still have a blast playing and unlocking stuff.
In terms of looks this game really delivers, the courses are colorful and diverse, making it a blast to race them over and over again weather it be with one player or four.

In the second, Bob-Omb Blast, players collect Bob-Ombs from Item Boxes and throw them at each other - you gain one point if you hit an opponent, but you lose one point if you're hit yourself, and it's up to 3 or 4 points, depending on the number of players.
In the first, Shine Thief, a player must collect the Shine and hold it until the countdown timer goes down to zero.

Bob-omb Blast is a fast-paced and certainly kickass mode where players pick up and throw Bob-ombs at opposing players.
It has been revealed that there are three types of matches: Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, and Shine Thief.
Most play modes were open to the players at the event, including multiplayer battle.

Bob-omb Blast is a slightly more unique mode where instead of weapons, the players throw bombs.
Shine Thief is essentially a game of keep away, where the goal is to grab the Shine (last seen in Super Mario Sunshine) and hold on to it for one minute, all the while avoiding other players.
Like before, there is a standard Balloon Battle mode where an attack will remove one of three balloons attached to the players and the last person standing wins.

Re: Who was impressed with Double Dash? - News - Nintendo NSider Forums
Overall Effect: 9.5/10- Overall this game is a blast and players of all ages will be able to enjoy this game for a long time to come.
But on the 150CC sometimes it seems like the game is a little cheap when you get in 1st place and 4 red shells come from the same person, and then a blue spiked shell comes.  Time Trials are very fun also, especially now that you can capture your ghost and race against yourself.
But the Balloon Battle maps are just too small.  There is no way to escape attacks sometimes, so you are left in the middle of no where like a sitting duck.

Mario Kart: Double Dash - Reader Reviews - Game Informer Forums
Bob-omb Blast is clearly the weakest mode, where the only item you can get is bob-ombs, and you must get a certain number of hights on your opponents before they hit you, but you lose points whenever you are bombed, making for a long, boring game.
There are now three types of battles: bob-omb blast, baloon battle, and shine thief.
Baloon Battle is the regular battle mode, where you tryto blast your opponents three times before they blast you.

The battle options consist of the traditional Balloon Battle, Shine Thief (a capture the flag equivalent) and Bob-omb Blast (all weapons are bombs), each a worthy inclusion.
The design of the stages means that it works best with more players, so it's a shame that there is no option to make up the numbers with bots.
Co-ordination between the two players is important - particularly to swap positions - which makes success harder to come by but rewarding.

The object is to catch the other players in the Bob-Omb’s sizable blast until you’ve gotten 3 (or 4 depending on the number of players) stars (one star for each blast, but you’ll lose a star if you’re caught).
Bob-Omb Blast uses Bob-Ombs instead of the standard items, and lets each character collect a fairly large stack of them.
Essentially, the real heart of this game is in the multiplayer modes.

Not being short a friend or two, I think that the bob-omb blast mini game in the multiplayer mode is an absolute treat and is worth buying the title alone for.
In this mode the aim of the game is to hit your opponent with bombs; every time you blow up another player you get a point, if your kart gets hit you lose a point.
In the multiplayer mode, players can either compete in a Grand Prix as described before, or in battle mode where up to four karts fight it out.

It combines the intensity and frantic pace of bob-omb blast but with out the massive explosions so you can tell what is going on.
Now the thing that makes this mode so crazy is the huge blast radius of the bob-omb, and the fact that you can hold more that two bob-ombs at one time.
You have no clue what is going on though out the whole match and it is, just as the title says, a blast.

Since first player steers and second player fights, your performance in the tracks begins to peak; it gives you a chance to focus on one element, to achieve that zen-like state of shell tossing or driving…until your partner screws up a shot, or you hit a wall.
There’s one that involves grabbing a Shine and holding it, ala capture the flag.
What will make or break multiplayer lies in who you play with, though, and not so much as the so-called deep intricacies of track layouts or balance issues.

The Battle Mode is broken up into three types of melee--balloon battle, shine thief, and bob-omb blast.
Bob-omb blast, our personal favorite, is relatively the same as balloon battle.
The character animation is smoother than ever and there is plenty of the visual flair to make the game more exciting such as motion blur at turbo velocity, sparks flying off the wheels as you power slide, and smoke screen off a bomb blast.
